Romans 8:29&30

Could this be one of the overlooked passages in Scripture? We tend to all focus on verse 28 –  “And we know that God causes everything to work together* for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

But what about vs 29 and 30?
Does anything jump out at you as you focus past vs 28?  in brief, what hit me was the last 5 words!  ….HE GAVE THEM HIS GLORY.

29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn* among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

Remember what St Irenaeus said, “The Glory of God is man fully alive”

Know this. We were ALL created in His image and our purpose was and still is to have relationship with our creator. To reflect The Glory He Has given each of us. Now your glory is unique to you and mine to me. No two are alike! As we walk with the Father our glory will bubble forth! We can’t shine on our own. We were not created that way. Walk w Him = shine bright.  Walk alone = your lamp is covered. The choice is ours each day. Accept His gift of relationship today through Jesus.

Oh that we will shine bright today!  Peace. Jon
