Psalm 46
7 The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
the God of Israel[b] is our fortress.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
I think it no coincidence that these two verses are so close to each other. It’s like God tells us “I AM NEAR! I AM AMONG YOU!”. And then 3 verses later says “BE STILL AND KNOW ME!”. Does this sound like a God who is far away and unknowable?
To the contrary. He has made Himself available … He is near!
May we stop, even today, from our busyness and striving and meet with the Living God!
For it is only in relationship with Him that we will truly be satisfied. I must go back to this statement- WE WERE CREATED FOR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD! This above everything else, is our Creators Original Intent for The trophy of all He created on earth – US!
In relationship with the Living God! We will only know our truest identity and purpose in this relationship. NOTHING ELSE SATISFIES THE LONGING WITHIN! NO THING!
