John 10:10

10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. ”  Jesus of Nazareth

If you are disallusioned with your life and find yourself looking for answers, then, you have come to the right place!   Whether young or old, rich or poor, if you find yourself searching for more than you have found- I am so glad you are here!

I have found from personal experience that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the life your heart is searching for.  I am not here to push Church or religion on you but to share with you God’s loving plan for your life- a life of purpose, peace , joy, love and power.

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”  Jesus of Nazareth

I don’t know your story or your spiritual background.  You may be like me?  I did not grow up in a spiritual home and did not “darken” a church door until  after my parents divorced when I was twelve.  I went to a Catholic Church with a friend of mine because he was required to go.  The only thing I recall from that experience was the man with the shaving cream behind his ears in the pew in front of us!

When I was 15, I was invited to go on a youth retreat in the Florida Everglades.   On this house boat trip I heard God’s message of hope!  That He loved me and had an awesome plan for my life.  That life got screwed up when sin entered the world- but because of Gods love for us, He sent His Son, Jesus to give us life through His death, burial and ressurection.

Let me explain further…  Sin, is an archery term that means “missing the mark”.  Anything less than perfection is considered “sin”.  As it is in the world of archery, it also applies to the Spiritual world.  Because God is holy He can’t have anything to do with sin.  The bible says;

Romans 6:23

23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the spirit realm, death, means separation from God.  We were created to walk in relationship with God but due to sin, we have been unable to experience the life and relationship with our Heavenly Father that we were created for.  Thus leaving us searching for something or someone to fill the void in our lives.  No matter how “good” your life has been to this point, if you have not experienced Real Life in Jesus, you have not truly lived.  I know this is a bold statement, but one I will stake my life on.  I challenge you to read the gospel of John in the Bible and ask God to reveal Himself to you.  He desires to have relationship with you!

But, if you are like most, you have experienced an emptiness and a longing in your heart for more than this life has yielded so far.  You probably have experienced one or several of the following; pain, loss, emptiness, fear, rejection, betrayal, hate, hopelessness and despair.  As a dear friend of mine says, “life is messy”.  His college sweetheart and wife of 20 plus years died of pancreatic cancer and he was really struggling with the loss of the “love of my life” as he called her.

Matthew 11:28-30

28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Jesus of Nazareth

This call to come is for any and all who realize that they don’t have the answers to the weariness and burden that life brings.  He offers rest for the soul willing to come to Him.  You have probably tried many ways  to find happiness through relationships, career, family and the many “pleasures” the world offers, but still you find yourself unsatisfied.  Like there is a void but you can’t figure it out!  Jesus said in the Gospel of John chapter 14 vs. 6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Proverbs 14:12

12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.

The death spoken of in this verse is a spiritual death- a separation from God.  Think of it this way… Have you ever tried to fix something or assemble something without following the instructions?  How did that turn out for you?  If  this experience left you angry, frustrated, irratable and mad at yourself.  You are not alone!  The Bible says…

Isaiah 53:6

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,  each of us has turned to his own way;  and the LORD has laid on him(Jesus)  the iniquity of us all.

Romans 3:23

23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

We all try to figure life out on our own and find in the end that we don’t have the answers after all.  The answer to the life you are looking for is found in Jesus.

John 3:16

16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that

everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

If you are ready to experience the Real Life, that Jesus is calling you to-  then, come just as you are and pray something like the prayer I prayed 36 years ago….

“Dear God, I acknowledge that I don’t have the answers to the life I desire.  I realize that I am a sinner, that I have gone my own way and made a mess of things.  I accept what Jesus did for me on the cross.  That He died and paid for my sins so that I can have life.  I am thirsty and hungry for the life you came to give me.  Come into my heart Jesus!  Amen”

If you have prayed and asked Jesus to give you life, then please let me know.  I will walk through your next steps with you or find someone in your area who can walk with you.  Blessings, Jon

If you have not prayed yet but want to begin a dialogue with me or someone in your area please let me know that too.  Peace!
